Mount Evelyn v Yarra Junction
A TOUGH game against one of the stronger teams in the competition. Yarra Junction were five players down but everyone battled on. Some work is needed on manning up as the opposition got away, but to Junction’s credit at no time did they give up the fight, nor drop their heads in defeat. All the players kept hard at the job of defending, and trying to run the ball into their forward line.

AFTER a slow start the Junction side started to listen to instructions and attacked the ball really well and had some great passages of play in the second half.
Best: Jackson, Tyson, Darby, Jarrod, Braydon.

Mount Evelyn 20.14.124 d Yarra Junction 8.10.58.
JUNCTION had 16 players only and a couple of injuries that left them seriously undermanned. The youngsters gave it everything and continued to improve. Their tackling was fierce all day – and the scoreboard was not a true indication of the game.
Goals: J. Russell 3, D. Young 2.

Belgrave 4.6.30 d Healesville 1.5.11.
THE Bloods took on Belgrave needing a win to stay in touch with the top four. They played well, trying at every contest and by half time the game was close. Some great efforts by the Bloods went unrewarded however the team never gave up. Unfortunately Belgrave were a stronger side on the day and ran out winners.
Best: T. McGregor, J. Murray, J. Parish-Donkin, J. Wallace, L. Andueza.

Healesville 13.13.91 d Wesburn 0.1.1.
A FANTASTIC team effort from Healesville. There was great control from the centre bounce. Linking handball with accurate foot passing made the Bloods look sharp and professional.
Goals: J. McLeod 4, C. Kennedy, M. Jeffery, W. Hague 2.

Healesville 7.16.58 d Emerald 4.5.29.
THE conditions were wet and cold up at Emerald and as always they played a hard fought game. Healesville played well and came away with a great win. Well done to David Wittkopp playing his first game of footy.
Goals: R. Culwick, M. Davern 2.

Healesville 27.11.173 d Wesburn 6.3.9.
HEALESVILLE were too strong for a younger Wesburn side. Simon Thomas played a great game at centre half forward supported well by Nigel Wilkes at full forward. Trent Krikas again played a terrific running game from the centre. Ben Bateman and Sam Dennett were important in the back line repelling Wesburn’s forward moves. Nick Wenhuda also contributed well on the ball and off the wing.
Goals: N. Wilkes 7, S. Thomas 6, D. Anderson 3, M. Charlett, T. Krikas, N. Pearce 2.
Best: B. Black, M. Charlett, S. Thomas, D. Wilson, D. Anderson.
