TO HIGHLIGHT the naturally beautiful Murrindindi region Murrindindi Regional Tourism Association (MRTA) and JMM Communications have been working together targeting media outlets in Melbourne, over the last six months.
The campaign has primarily been focused on Melbourne’s families, seniors and couples as Murrindindi currently receives about 80 per cent of its visitors from Melbourne.
“In this time, the campaign has seen a variety of successful outcomes for the ‘Dindi’ region,” Julie Morgan from JMM Communications said.
“Journalists have visited from Coast and Country magazine and The Herald Sun. Murrindindi has also had airplay on a variety of Melbourne and regional radio stations, appeared on travel websites and numerous other publications.”
The “Buddies, Heroes and Journo’s” workshop being held on Tuesday 27 May, is the ideal forum to learn and see a broad range of examples of recent ‘Dindi’ media coverage organised by JMM communications.
Ms Morgan, who has had more than 22 years of industry experience and heads up JMM Communications, said the informative workshop presented by MRTA will also give participants the opportunity to talk to the experts and find out how to best target the media.
There will also be a number of free and other opportunities presented to attendees on the day.
Ms Morgan heads up JMM Communications, a registered consultancy group member of the Public Relations Industry Association (PRIA).
JMM Communications is an independently owned PR consultancy based in Melbourne. The company was appointed by MRTA, for its results-oriented campaigns and experience in promoting events, festivals, awards, industries, food, lifestyle brands and leisure guide writing.
“At the workshop, I, along with other guest speakers, will lead participants through an afternoon of possibilities, open their eyes to new ways of seeing their business and kick start their promotional activities.”
Businesses that would like to get involved in future media campaigns for the region are encouraged to attend.
