HEALESVILLE rainfall recorder Frank Foxcroft reports a below average rainfall for October of 79.4mm.
Mr Foxcroft said October is statistically the area’s wettest month with his 41-year recorded average being 99.4mm.
In Warburton, Keith Thomas recorded just 73mm, just a drop more than half the average.
“This is very poor compared to our average of 142.7mm,” Mr Thomas said.
“For the first 10 months of this year we have received only 976mm which lags far behind our average of 1116mm.”
Melbourne’s dams hold 1,068,462m.ltr, which is 60.3 per cent of their capacity.
