Parent offers sound education

WARBURTON Primary School students have added musical instruments to their wealth of knowledge, with the introduction of a new music teacher to the school.
School parent and musician Alejandro Espino Aldana moved with his family to Warburton last year.
He agreed to share his knowledge of music with the students and uses a range of instruments to keep them interested.
Welfare coordinator at the school, Kate Anderson, said the introduction of music to the school had excited and attracted many students to school.
“Alejandro not only holds classes during school hours but teaches some kids guitar in after school classes,” Ms Anderson said.
“We’ve really noticed a change in some students, and they really look forward to coming to school and learning something different.”
Students at the school have access to four Yamaha guitars that were donated to the school by Yamaha music.
“It is wonderful to be able to allow the students to borrow the guitars so that they can learn how to play an instrument,” Ms Anderson said.
