EAGER writers have until Friday, 16 September to enter the Eastern Regional Libraries (ERL) National Storywriting Competition.
This year’s judge is wellknown Melbourne author Archie Fusillo.
Several of Mr Fusillo’s short stories have been published in Australia’s leading magazines and journals and he has won several awards for his work.
In addition to the Adult Section with prize money of $1500, there is a Teenage Section for writers between 13 and 18 years of age with $350 prize money, and a Junior Section for writers nine to 12, with $250 prize money. There is also a section for writers who are resident in Knox, Maroondah or Yarra Ranges municipalities which carries a $500 prize.
