McEWEN MP Fran Bailey has hit back at rumours she plans to move into the PostShop shop-front at Healesville Walk when Australia Post moves out.
“It’s ludicrous,” Ms Bailey said responding to the suggestion by Healesville resident Robyn Johnson in Mail Opinion last week.
In her letter Ms Johnson called on Ms Bailey to “dismiss or confirm” rumours she wanted the shop space because of plans for the library to move into the Swinburne TAFE complex where Ms Bailey currently has her office.
“This sort of rumour-mongering is appalling,” she said. “I have no plans to move out. Why would I want to, I have a terrific office which works well … it’s a nonsense.”
Rumour dismissed!
