Outgoing treasurer Ken Crute received a letter of commendation from state executive John Deighton thanking him for his 10 years of service to the Yarra Glen Sub Branch in this capacity.
Formed in 1919, the Yarra Glen Sub Branch of the RSL holds its regular meetings on the third Sunday of each month at 10 am in the RSL rooms in the Memorial Hall, Yarra Glen.
Members also normally meet on Friday afternoons for a social gathering at the hall.
“Our mission is to support the well-being and betterment of our members, former and serving members of the Australian Defence Forces, and their dependants,” Mr Bowling said.
“(We) provide welfare and commemorative services and, where appropriate, contribute to the worthy needs within the community.”
