Fraud hearing

A 50-YEAR-OLD Warburton man will face Ringwood Magistrates’ Court next week charged with fraud.
Warburton police interviewed and charged the man following investigations into allegations of fraud from the man’s place of employment between May and November this year.
The charges related to bankcard fraud, false statements and false invoices.
Senior Constable Doug Fisher said the amount involved was in excess of $50,000 and could be much higher.
The man was bailed until 19 December.

Assault charges

A WOORI Yallock man in his late 20s will also face court on serious assault charges.
Senior Constable Fisher said police charged the man on summons following investigations into an attack which happened in Wesburn a year ago.
Police said the victim received serious facial injuries in the attack.
