Best: L. James, J. Cattanach.
U16: Wesburn 9.5.59 d Mount Evelyn 6.11.47.
MOUNT Evelyn started the game full of running and created a handy lead in windy conditions. Wesburn’s kicking to position was appalling and resulted in several costly turnovers. However, a magnificent final quarter saw Wesburn finally combining and getting the ball into the scoring zone very quickly to turn the game around and win by two goals after being behind all day.
Goals: A. Calder 3, D. Coghlan 2.
Best: J. Nathan, K. Elbourne, D. Coghlan, J. Mullan, A. Calder.
Healesville JFC
U10: The Healesville v Wandin match was played very well in the windy conditions with some great passages of play. The Healesville team’s skills are developing with excellent movement of the ball between teammates.
Best: A. Jansen, M. Fisher, B. Stewart, J. Cooke, J. Wallace.
U11: Upwey Tecoma 6.2.38 d Healesville 2.10.22.
Healesville went down with inaccurate kicking and slow first quarter being the difference.
Goals: J. McLeod 2.
Best: D. Wilde, B. Stanley, D. Meier, A. Cruddas, H. Cooke.
U12: Healesville 6.6.42 d Wandin 2.4.16.
MATTHEW Kellalea and Rodney Hyde celebrated their 50 game milestone this week, and Healesville wanted to avenge their big loss from last week, and playing away and in windy conditions, this would prove difficult, but to the team’s credit, they listened to instructions, and came away with a very nice win.
U13: Healesville 9.5.59 d Monbulk 5.3.33.
SOME really good passages of play saw Healesville come away with a four goal win. A five goal effort from Tyler Black off three-quarters was an exceptional effort.
Goals: T. Black 5, C. Wilkes 2.
U14: Healesville 7.16.58 d Wandin 6.3.39.
A GREAT start in the first quarter kicking 5 goals to nil set Healesville up for a big win. To Wandin’s credit they came back in the next two quarters. In difficult windy conditions the boys held on in the last to come away winners.
Goals: M Davern 3.
