THE first meeting of the Millgrove Residents Action Group (MRAG) at the Millgrove Baptist Church on Tuesday, 11 October, has been hailed a major success.
Almost 50 people from the local community attended and MRAG committee member and River Valley Church pastor Andy Bennett said the meeting proved to be a positive forum for discussing local issues.
“The first part of the meeting was about presenting community members with some background on MRAG, its development so far and its vision for the future,” Mr Bennett said.
“After that, we held an open forum and encouraged people to present their interests in, and visions for, the Millgrove community.”
Mr Bennett said MRAG committee members were surprised by the response they got from community members present.
“We thought people would mostly raise concerns about the community, but instead it turned into a testimonial of what people love about Millgrove and why they think it is a great place to live,” he said.
