HappyLand recognition

MANAGEMENT and staff at Yarra Junction’s HappyLand Early Learning Centre are celebrating their recent accreditation under the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC).
Proprietor and director, Marcia Liew, took over the centre two and a half years ago.
“We are happy to have been very highly recognised by the NCAC after working very hard to make sure we are giving the children top-quality care and creating programs which promote each child’s individual interests and curiosity,” Ms Liew said.
The centre offers a kinder program run by a qualified kindergarten teacher and a long day-care program run by qualified early childhood staff.
“We provide our children with a structured kinder program which helps enhance each individual child’s social, emotional, fine motor, concentration and cognition needs through activities that help prepare them for primary school,” Ms Liew said.
Ms Liew said children enjoyed an excursion to the Yarra Junction Primary School last week, an activity which was supported by the school community and the centre’s parents.
The long day-care program is based on observations of individual children by staff who then program activities with an emphasis on developing motor skills and language, social, emotional and cognitive skills.
Ms Liew and her staff welcome the opportunity to show parents around the centre and to discuss their preferences and needs for childcare with them.
HappyLand Early Learning Centre is open Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm.
