THE Yarra Ranges Traffic Management Unit took part in a pursuit on Saturday afternoon.
A car travelling along The Black Spur failed to stop when it turned into St Leonards Road and hit another car.
The driver was later found outside the Grand Hotel in Healesville.
Police said the driver will be charged on summons.
POLICE reported a wave of crime against plant pots over the weekend.
In two separate incidents businesses in Healesville were damaged after the pots were smashed.
Police believe that individuals climbed the fence of Maroondah Garden Supplies before smashing a number of pots and causing damage to the value of $1000.
Another local business, Re-Heeled, further down the highway also suffered damages.
Leading Senior Constable Sharlane Wilson has called for any witnesses or anyone with information in relation to the incidents to contact her at the Healesville Police Station on 5962 4422.
