Warburton target too much for Yarra Junction

Under 16: Playing Warburton at Warburton and chasing 163, Yarra Junction did not get off to a good start losing Michael for only 2.
Josh came out to join George and both looked settled before George was out for 25. This brought Daniel to the crease and the pair put on a great and needed partnership of 78 before Daniel left for a well-batted 24.
Josh scored 52 before retiring which left Junction struggling after the loss of wickets at regular intervals. Josh returned to the crease but lost his wicket for a well-made 60.
Junction was disappointed to lose the chase especially when they were 2/103.
Under 14 Green: Batting first Hoddles Creek scored 95, H. Jeganathan made a great 36. C. Spaulding was the pick of the Junction bowlers with 2/8.
Junction started steady losing the first wicket at 10, then some good partnerships kept the scoreboard ticking over.
E. Wadsworth batted well making 35 ret., J. Cross 17 ret., D. Cloister 26, T. Nightingale 20, G. Fergusson 48 and E. Buckley 54 not out took the score to all out for 256 for a great win.
Under 14 Gold: Last week Yarra Junction got off to a flying start bowling Warburton-Millgrove out for 85 with P. Ford picking up 5/3 off seven overs.
Being an hour early, Junction went in to bat, though nothing went according to plan. At the end of the day Junction lost five wickets for a paltry score of 10.
This week, Junction’s last couple of batsmen went in knowing the pressure was on them, however they went out for 53 with J. Closter not out at 13,. I. Anduezza 3/6.
Warburton then batted again and did extremely well at 1/111, with Coghou and D. Anderl both retiring at 40.
Under 12A: Chasing Coldstream’s 2/156 off 46 overs, Junction needed 3.5 runs an over. At drinks they were 2/67 after 19 overs and looking good.
However, with the last 10 overs to go Junction needed 41 runs. In the end, Junction fell 5 runs short to be 8/151 after 46 overs.
Warburton’s best bowlers were B. Batty 2/23 off 7, C. Pegg 1/7 off 4 while Junction’s were M. Mallick 30*, L. Spaulding 26*, T. Gaskett 19*.
Under 12B: Playing Woori Yallock for a second time, Junction managed to reduce our wides and no balls by 24 runs as Woori made a massive 255 runs for the lost of 4 wickets.
