WARBURTON rainfall recorder Keith Thomas said April proved to be a disastrous month for rainfall in Warburton.
“With only 15mm. recorded it’s a far cry from the average of 105.1mm.,” Mr Thomas said.
“Our total rainfall for the first four months of the year is now 214mm whereas our average for that period is 340.8mm.”
In Healesville, Alma Mitchell recorded 26.7mm. on 11 days.
Also disastrous when compared with last year’s 138.5mm over 21 days.
Melbourne’s storage dams held only 532,848m.ltr at the end of the month, which equates to 30.1 per cent of capacity.
