THE Shire of Yarra Ranges has approved an application for the construction of an additional storage shed at a trades supplies outlet in Coldstream.
Shire director of planning, building and health, James Lamour-Reid, said the outlet at 708-710 Maroondah Highway consisted of a derelict shop, which is currently being used for joining lengths of timber.
Mr Lamour-Reid said a new processing centre for the timber joining, and the redevelopment of the existing shop, would be undertaken as part of the application.
The applicant has also outlined plans for a 38-lot parking area in front of the trades supplies building.
The council last week agreed to grant the permit after receiving no objections to the application.
