THE new trainthemed playground at Healesville Railway Station has proved a boon for the Yarra Valley Tourist Railway.
YVTR president Jan Oakley said the playground has brought families to the area with a flow on benefit for the trolley rides and the railway cafe.
Saturday mornings, with the added attraction of the organic market, were particularly busy, Mrs Oakley said.
The first week of the school holidays saw locals and visitors enjoying everything from a quiet lunch break beneath the trees to a family picnic, trolley rides and fantastic climbing, sliding, swinging fun at the new playground.
