From the big top to pantomime bears

THE Lillydale Lake playground has always been a popular spot for families and it’s an absolute favourite at school holiday time.
The playground has recently been given an exciting upgrade, making it suitable for children of all ages and abilities.

Join the Circus: The Sooper Dooper Circus meets on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at the Upper Yarra Arts Centre. Phone 5966 5160.
Trolley ride: Take a trolley ride from Healesville railway station through the scary tunnel. Phone 5962 2490.
Go to the movies: Both Healesville Cinema and the Upper Yarra Arts Centre at Warburton have films for the kids over the holidays at very reasonable prices.

Book some fun: Healesville Library has Commonwealth Games mania on Wednesday, 15 March for four to 10-year-olds. There is also fantastic origami for school-age children on Thursday, 16 March, and storytime on Wednesday, 22 March. All activities are free. Phone 5962 4423.
Chocolate treats: At Yarra Junction Library on Wednesday, 15 March, see the Commonwealth Super Show, on Thursday, 23 March, the sports and games storytime in the morning and then later, chocoholics afternoon. Phone 5967 1588.
