HOSHI Friedrich was part of a big effort last week to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Victoria.
Hoshi and 249 other riders, students, teachers and parents from the Little Yarra Steiner School, took to the Lilydale to Warburton Bike Track last week combining fun and fundraising.
Riders left from either Woori Yallock or Yarra Junction and finished at Warburton. A small group took on the added challenge of diverting at Millgrove to ride along the aqueduct.
Teacher Frank Bonig who organised the ride said they were fortunate with the weather.
After a rainy and cold Monday, Mr Bonig said the riders enjoyed great weather conditions for their ride.
As it turned out, Wednesday was even colder with snow on nearby Mt Donna Buang and rain squalls and freezing winds.
The riders enjoyed a well-earned barbecue lunch and some fun and games at Warburton Recreation Reserve before heading home.
Mr Bonig said Yarra Junction businesses had been very generous with donations for the raffle, which raised more than $150 for Cystic Fibrosis Victoria.
Charity ride is a big draw
