IN sub-standard conditions, Healesville struggled to be first at the ball, and once again, paid the price for not sticking to their man. They showed that they could match it with them, but failed to produce it for the four quarters.

ANOTHER game where Healesville gave their all especially the back-line. The boys showed true heart and spirit but were unable to capitalise with a win.

Healesville were well and truly beaten by a better side. Their backline players led by Tanner Larkin and Hayden Mende battled all day to provide drive for the forwards to try and convert.

PLAYING Belgrave in wet and slippery conditions, Healesville started the first quarter slowly letting Belgrave kick the first goal of the game. In the second quarter the Bloods were more determined to play football, the highlight of the game was seeing Jack Young kick his first ever goal. The last quarter saw the Bloods pull away and kick four goals to Belgrave’s none.

HEALESVILLE were hot early and played some exciting, fast running football. The tackling a real highlight. Good discipline to keep kicking it long to the top of the square meant many easy set shots at goal.
The run was excellent also. Simon and Bourkey dominated all day with great support from Plunkett, Pearce and Bateman.

Healesville’s third game away in a row against Upwey was going to be a challenge. Upwey started well and scored two early goals, Healesville fought their way back into the game, but Upwey were stronger toward the contest.

THE crowd at South Belgrave was treated to one of the games of the year. Every player on both teams gave 100 per cent as the sides went goal for goal all day.
The Eagles held the lead for most of the day but the Saints clinched it in the final quarter.
