THE Shire of Yarra Ranges has refused a subdivision application for Lilydale because of the impact it would have on the flora and fauna in a nearby reserve.
The subdivision was for 12 doublestorey and 24 singlestorey units in Nelson Road, Lilydale. The council received 12 objections to the proposed development.
The decision came after the developer, RJ & MJ Conlan, lodged an appeal with the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) saying that the council was taking too long to make a decision.
Unit plans are rejected
