Healesville CoRE is entering its fourth year of renewable energy leadership in the Yarra Valley by inviting a collection of local and national solar energy players to talk everything solar
CoRE president Jeff Barlow said, “Rooftop solar is already providing 2.2 million Australian households and small businesses with clean and cheap energy.
“We believe this market penetration can continue to deepen and that is what we at Healesville Core want to see, particularly here in the Yarra Valley.”
“This year we are supporting the Yarra Ranges Council solar panel and battery offer… We are really looking forward to continue to encourage solar uptake in our community this year.”
Industry expert Glenn Morris from SolarQuip will provide an update on the latest technologies and systems available and will speak to the economic and environmental advantages of installing PV Solar in your own home or small business.
Members of Yarra Ranges Council will share information about the solar savers program, including the exciting news that the program has been expanded to any homeowner in the Yarra Valley in 2020.
From accessing energy needs to installation all the way through to financing options, the team will be there to answer community questions.
Mondo who partnered with Healesville CoRE last year to run Healesville’s first community solar and battery offer are back at this event to deliver a presentation on their latest technology-the UBI: a monitoring system used to increase efficiency of solar systems and, more excitingly, opens the door to peer-to-peer energy trading within a microgrid.
Healesville CoRE is a community-initiated not for profit group established in 2017 that is working towards Healesville becoming a net-zero emissions township from electricity use by 2027, and achieving greater energy independence so that residents can gain from the flow-on health and cost benefits.
The event will take place at the Darron Honey Centre on Monday 2 March at 7pm.
