NICOLE Garlick and Troy Simpson share a passion for car racing but it was their hearts that were racing when they met four years ago at a Street Stock Association of Victoria presentation night.
Nicole of Badger Creek and Troy of Swan Hill were married at the Chirnside Park Country Club on 20 May.
With their stock cars garaged for the day, the bride arrived in luxurious style in a magnificent stretch limousine, and the groom in a classic Chevrolet.
Nicole, carrying a bouquet of vibrantly coloured gerberas, was attended by bridesmaids Vanessa Sheerman and Kristy Simpson with two delightful fairies – her nieces Cheyenne and Abbigayle – as flowergirls. Troy’s best man was Scott Bull and groomsman, Shane Simpson.
The exchange of wedding rings was made even more memorable for Troy because his ring had belonged to his great-grandfather.
The newlyweds celebrated their marriage with a reception at the Country Club for family and friends, including many from the world of street stock racing.
