HEALESVILLE Library is hosting a program of creative workshops and activities for young people over the school holiday period.
Last Wednesday, 21 June the library conducted an animal craft and storytelling workshop, which drew a crowd of more than 20 kids and their parents.
Youth services officer Sharon Waller said the idea was to attract families to the library and stimulate children’s imagination.
“We provide free or low cost activities for families during the school holidays to encourage library participation,” she said.
“The activities are fun and creative, and the children get to meet others and learn a bit about how the library works.”
This week, on Thursday, 29 June at 2pm the library will host a beading workshop form children 10 and over.
The cost is $6 and bookings are essential. For more information phone 5962 4423.
