A new force in planning advice

AUSTRALIA’S financial planning and advice industry has a new kid on the block.
But, in reality, that ‘new kid’ has been around for a long time. IRIS commenced operation on 6 April, 2005, with all members of IRIS being former metropolitan and rural Victorian franchises of INGowned RetireInvest.
The group boasts nine offices with 30 advisers who have more than 150 years collective experience in the industry.
The newlyformed IRIS Financial Group is one of the 10 largest noninstitutionally owned financial planning groups in Australia based on more than $1 billion of Funds Under Advice.
“IRIS is a new force in the financial planning industry, especially in Victoria,” Alan Harrison, chief executive of IRIS said. “We will provide a fresh alternative for clients seeking a professional and objective partner to help achieve their investment, retirement, income and superannuation goals.”
What this means for the local community is that they now are able to seek professional financial planning advice from a large organisation without the need to travel to and from the city. Based at Forest Hill and Ringwood, Bob Ellum, Simon Hauser, and Richard Pymm, authorised representatives of IRIS Financial Group LTD (ABN 88 111 180 280, AFSL 283262), are three financial advisers who are available to discuss your personal financial planning requirements.
Bruce Holden, an IRIS Director and spokesperson for the group’s principals said, “This initiative brings together a group of likeminded businesses under a unified brand and vision. We have sourced the best possible financial planning and advice services to ensure we provide market leading services to our clients from day one.
“We are pleased to announce Sealcorp as our major partner in this area.”
Sealcorp will provide the dealer services and platform support, as well as the entire range of premium advice services that come with the Securitor network and the Asgard platform. Geoff Lloyd, CEO of Sealcorp said they were excited to be part of establishing IRIS as a new group.
“Our partnership with IRIS reinforces our commitment to independent financial advisers and the specialised needs of the sector,” he said. “Sealcorp’s partnership with the IRIS Financial Group will enable IRIS’s advisers to do what they do best provide highquality financial planning and advice services”, Mr Lloyd added.
