ORGANISERS of the Melba Festival say they are making plans already for next year and part of those plans is a community meeting to be held soon.
Coordinator Marjorie Woollands said last week that the festival had been a great success despite the rain, and had provided a good basis on which to plan future festivals.
“We have written a debriefing document which will be sent to all the people involved and have feedbacks forms which we are analysing,” Mrs Woollands said.
A date will be set soon for a meeting to look at the highs and lows of the inaugural festival and start to plan next year’s event.
“We have to start for next year now and would welcome anyone with ideas or who feels they can made a contribution to come along to that meeting,” Mrs Woollands said.
Notices will be placed at the Yarra Glen Information Centre at Regional Fare, the post office and the newsagent in Yarra Glen once a date has been set.
Uncorked for next fest
