THE new Yarra Junction “Eagles” Junior Football Club is back after a recess last year and according to new president Stacey Cooper, they are set to fly high in 2012.
The club is set to kick off the season fielding under-10, under-12, under-14 and under-16 teams under a new and enthusiastic committee.
“An injection of new blood and fresh ideas augers well for the future of the club” Ms Cooper said.
“The new committee is excited at the prospect of providing additional opportunities for young footballers in our area.
“Our focus is on the provision of quality coaching in a happy and supportive family environment. There is a depth of expertise, integrity and experience in the new committee that includes Sally Brennan as secretary, Sheryl Woods as treasurer and Dominic Tesoriero as director of coaching,” she said.
Ms Cooper said all players would have the opportunity of playing a full game every week, and that new and past players are equally welcome at the club.
Registration day will be on Sunday 12 February at the Yarra Junction clubrooms, from 10am to 3pm.
All interested players and parents are encouraged to phone Ms Cooper on 0488 995 749 or Ms Brennan on 0419 332 459 for details, anytime.
