IN TRADITION of the radio station itself, Yarra Valley FM is holding a toe-tapping, let’s dance, all-entertainment evening for Yarra Valley residents and beyond.
Drawing on the popularity of ABBA, the Australian cover band BABBA will perform hits from the ’70s, with all the energy, verve and wit of the original band.
The evening is a fund-raiser for the community radio station, which after 21 years of serving the Yarra Valley, hopes to move in a new direction. Yarra Valley FM 99.1 wants to grow and become more involved in the community, and improve opportunities for increased interactive involvement through the internet and by podcasting.
BABBA will perform at The International in Lilydale on Friday 16 September, with the choice of a pre-concert dinner for $60 a ticket, or see the performance for $30. Tickets can be bought via 9735 0555.
