SANCTUARY House Resort Motel in Badger Creek Road, Healesville, unveiled its new state-of-the-art reception centre this week.
The centre features a stylish dining room for up to 140 people inside and an outdoor dining area and beer garden for up to 70 people.
Inside, the reception centre features a handcrafted red gum bar, large circular red gum dining tables, imported Italian leather chairs, a dance floor and large projection screen.
The dining room also features high ceilings with exposed beams and large floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the verandah and surrounding gardens.
The covered outdoor dining and entertainment area also offers stunning views of the property’s 10 acres of bushland and landscaped gardens.
The reception centre offers a mix of Mediterranean and Australia cuisine and a tapas bar, with all food prepared by three of the Yarra Valley’s top chefs.
“Our food is served with fine wines from top Yarra Valley vineyards, all at very reasonable prices,” Sanctuary House Resort Motel’s director and manager, Sam Halim, said.
Adjacent to the reception centre is a new giant children’s playground.
“The reception centre is a place to be enjoyed by both adults and children,” Mr Halim said.
Other additions include a new wing of deluxe accommodation and a refurbished outdoor pool and work will soon commence on a two-storey health spa centre.
The resort is also set to embark on a new concept in hospitality with the launch of Club 500, a real sanctuary for the Yarra Valley community.
Mr Halim said membership is open to Healesville, Yarra Valley and Shire of Yarra Ranges residents.
“Club 500 members will be able to get special rates on meals, drinks, functions and weddings, and holiday packages, as well as the benefit of using the club’s welfare store at nominal rates.”
Mr Halim said he came up with the idea for Club 500 as a way of giving back to the community.
“Starting up Club 500 is a way for us to give back to the local community and its something we need here,” he said.
