THE Swinburne Kilsyth Lady Cobras notched up their first win for the 2011 SEABL season on the weekend, beating the Geelong Supercats by 15 points, 69-54.
Kilsyth started the game strongly, outscoring the Supercats 25 to 13 in the opening stanza.
They then kept pressure on Geelong in the second quarter, diminishing the impact of ex-Cobra and now Supercat Deanna Smith who finished with 20.
The Cobras outscored the Supercats by nine points in the second period and extended their lead to 21 points at the half. The Lady Cobras are now looking forward to next Friday night and their home game against Albury Wodonga.
