YARRA Junction Cricket Club is inviting the community to get involved with its annual Raft Race on Sunday 30 January.
Club secretary Greg Mitchell said the fun family day had been going for “at least 25 years.”
“It can be hard work to win, though,” he said.
“It’s great to watch them come around the bend and tip over.”
The Raft Race begins at 9am at Station Street in Wesburn, where canoes are supplied. Entry is $5 per person, and the finishing line is at Doon Reserve Caravan Park in Yarra Junction.
A barbecue and drinks are available at Doon Reserve, where the fastest females and males -and the fastest person with a dog or child on board – will receive prizes.
