Monbulk collapses

By Steven Utting
THE first XI played last year’s premiers at home this week. Sent in to bat, Monbulk had an early collapse and was 4/17 until new recruit Dustin Archer compiled a disciplined 32 to help his side to 87.
Gavin Wright dismissed Johnson Park’s opener and the score was 1/2 but it didn’t help Monbulk’s cause as Johnson Park went on to 5/164. Dave Wright was the pick of the bowlers with 2/21.

@BT Sport Sub Mail:JUNIORS

MONBULK’S under-15s and two under-13s teams played their first match but the results didn’t go their way. But great cricket was played with encouraging signs for future matches.
