Grand Final ‘Blues’ for Seville Seniors, joy for A, B and C Grade netball

On a day when Seville had a side competing in five of six possible Grand Finals, excitement filled the air at the Woori Yallock Recreation Reserve.

Seville’s Senior Footballers and all four netball sides were up against either Gembrook-Cockatoo or Berwick Springs.

All in all, the Seville C, B and A grade netball sides walked away with the premiership.

The two showpiece events of the day were thrilling encounters, with the A Grade netball coming down to a last-minute goal from Seville’s deadeye attacker Ella Morse to seal the 43-44 win, while the Brookers held firm for a 23-point win over the Blues in the Senior Footy despite captain Colin Bastow being stretchered off early in the third quarter with a serious knee injury.

Full match reports to come on Monday 26 September.
