YARRA Junction played Cockatoo in their annual winter challenge bowl on Saturday 24 July.
There were 16 players per side, between the ages of 16 to 60.
Yarra Junction bowler Brian Green said it “was a busy afternoon”, with five rinks in operation.
“It was great, with a very friendly atmosphere, something club president Peter Willis is working towards,” Green said.
As a social event, all who took part were winners and as the afternoon cooled, players said the sausage sizzle was appreciated.
Yarra Junction bowlers play behind the reserve on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12.30pm.
