YARRA Junction Primary School kicked off the school year last week by welcoming triplets – all the way from England.
Prep students, Taylor, Cole, and Jake Brown arrived in Australia in late 2003, but only moved to Yarra Junction in September last year.
The non-identical IVF triplets became celebrities when a Channel Nine News crew filmed their first day at school last Tuesday, 31 January. The boys, who turned five in November last year, played up for the cameras and the experience was screened on the evening news.
The boys’ mother, Gaynor Brown, said she had some mixed feelings about sending the boys to school last week.
“It is a very exciting time for the boys and for their mum. I’ll have a bit more time to do other things, but I’ll miss having them with me at the same time,” she said.
“I did have some mild anxiety about the boys going to school, but I know they are ready for the next step.”
