High standard of care

BEGINNNING child care is often a scary transition for a child and more so for the parents.
Steels Street Children’s Centre in Healesville is a family-focused centre which works hard to create a positive child care experience for each child and family.
Staff at the centre say they work and communicate continuously with the families throughout the child’s time at the centre to maintain a high standard of support and providing a caring and nurturing environment.
The staff work with the families, communicating regularly about the child’s development, routine and interests to create a foundation for child-initiated experiences.
Children play a major role in the development of their programs which strive to create an atmosphere where children can feel they belong to a safe and secure community.
The staff led by Danielle Koningen are dedicated with each staff member not only bringing valuable experience to the centre and holding appropriates qualifications, but continuously attending staff training sessions to ensure the children receive the highest standard of care available.
The centre provides care for up to 90 children per day aged between six weeks and six years. The centre’s cook provides nutritionally balanced home-style meals and caters for individual families’ nutritional requirements, including allergy restrictions.
There is an open door policy at Steel Street Children’s Centre.
