THE Warburton Millgrove Football Netball Club (WMFNC) will run a campaign this month to teach their player, and the community, about what they can lose off the field.
The club will host a free Gamblers Help information seminar from 7.30pm on Wednesday, 17 February.
Club Events Organiser Steve Caldwell said the WMFNC committee felt committed to educate the players, as well as the community, with self-help programs.
Ex-AFL football player, and one-time problem gambler, David Schwarz will lead the seminar on the dangers of gambling — through his own life experiences.
Diane Jenkins from Gamblers Help will also attend the night.
Thanks to funding from the Yarra Community Enterprise Ltd, the information seminar is a free night open to all of the community.
The Warburton Millgrove Football Netball Club’s Gamblers Help information seminar will run from 7.30pm on Wednesday, 17 February at the WMFNC Social Complex.
For more information on the night please phone Steve Caldwell on 0400 890 761.
