Art on show at Warratina

The Yarra Valley Art Society is currently hosting an art show at the Warratina Lavender Farm

The annual art show will be available until Sunday 20 October and will display the work of local artists.

Visitors will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists and to purchase an original painting, as everything exhibited is for sale.

Entry to the exhibition is free, so come along and enjoy home-made food and a coffee, then finish your visit with a stroll through the beautiful lavender gardens.

Initially the Warratina Lavender Farm was a hobby for lavender enthusiast Annemarie Manders, but now thrives as a tourist spot for all lavender lovers.

Over the years the farm gradually expanded and now has over 10,000 lavender plants and is enjoyed by tourists from around Australia.
