Finals bring out the best

Division One

FINALS kicked off this week for Division one, with a fantastic game between Woori Yallock and Warburton Millgrove. Played at Gembrook, the atmosphere was tense as the whistle blew to commence the game.
Woori Yallock started out strong, however Warburton Millgrove weren’t going to let them get away with much. Goal-for-goal was the trend as defenders worked overtime to prevent scoring.
This game was the last for Warburton, and Woori Yallock will go on, to play against Upwey Tecoma next week.

@BT Sport Sub Mail:QUALIFYING FINAL

Upwey Tecoma played against Wandin for the qualifying final, also held at Gembrook. Wandin showed good play this week and was deserving of the win, defeating Tecoma by 10 goals.
The game was quite well paced, and the teams had definite strategies in place, to get them what they wanted.
Upwey now has a second chance, as they will play against Woori Yallock this week. Wandin will go on to play against Mount Evelyn.

Division Two

Emerald has had a bumper season consistently showing fantastic skills. Thornton has had a bit of an up and down season, with new players, and a new coach.
This week, also at Gembrook, Thornton took on Emerald for the chance to continue on in the finals fight.
Thornton worked hard, and had some good passages of play, however Emerald were in a mind set that nothing was going to get in the way.
This means the end of the season for Thornton, however Emerald will go on to play Yea this week.

@BT Sport Sub Mail:SEMI-FINAL

Powelltown played against Yea this week, for the semi-final. Powelltown have had incredible skills this season, and by this show of power, that will remain the same right through to the end.
Powelltown turned the ball over quite regularly, making it difficult for the Yea shooters to have a real opportunity.
Winning comfortably by 24 goals, Powelltown are now in the grand final. Yea will now play against Emerald.
