HEALESVILLE rainfall recorder, Frank Foxcroft, says it may seem like we’ve had a lot of rain but the rain gauge tells a different story.
“I recorded a disappointing total of only 59.6mm which is 35mm below my 41-year average for November,” he said.
October was also down by 23.4mm, he said, which means the two wettest months of the year were down by 58.4mm.
“Just when we want a good soaking, before the summer, the rains just haven’t come,” Mr Foxcroft said.
“All the rains have done is keep the grass green but, unfortunately, it is not sinking in.”
