GRANTS of $1000 are being offered by the Sportscover Sponsorship Fund to sporting clubs and associations that were affected by the February bushfires.
The fund will make 20 grants to successful applicants to replace sports equipment that has been lost due to the fires.
Sportscover Australia marketing co-ordinator Martin Kelly said for many of the communities they were targeting, the local football club or recreation centre was the focal point.
“That is where we can help to get things back to some kind of normality,” he said.
Applications can be made at www.sportscover.com/bushfires.
