Menu set for Christmas

THE Upper Yarra RSL Club in Yarra Junction is celebrating the festive season with a range of exciting competitions, giveaways and special events.
Situated in bushland on Settlement Road, Yarra Junction, just a short drive from town, the intimate, family friendly club is gearing up for Christmas.
On Thursday, 15 December the club will host the last cash draw of the year for financial members, and guests can also purchase a ticket to win a turkey or a ham in the Christmas raffles. Members must be present on the night for their chance to win $500 cash.
On Monday, 19 December the club will hold a Christmas Giveaway for financial members from 7pm, and members must be present to claim a prize.
All members, visitors and guests are invited to take part in the Christmas Giveaway on Tuesday, 20 December from 7pm.
To be a part of the draw spend $20 throughout the venue and be present to claim prizes.
The club will be closed on Christmas Day.
However, there are still places available for pre-Christmas functions in the club’s bistro.

On Saturday, 31 December the club will host a special Movie Mania New Year’s Eve party.
Guests are invited to dress up as their favourite movie star and prizes will be awarded for best costumes.
The evening will include entertainment from 9pm and a courtesy bus offering drop off only will also be available, but bookings are essential.
The club’s bistro serves up a range of delicious home style meals all year round.
On Monday through to Wednesday diners can enjoy a steak or chicken parmigiana dish for just $13 during lunch and dinner service.
Bookings are essential for the bistro and there is an extensive specials board every night.
The club will operate a courtesy bus on Monday, 19 December, Tuesday, 20 December and on New Year’s Eve.
The service on each night is drop off only and bookings are essential.
