The YVCA finals matches continued on Sunday 22 March and in the D.J. Strachan Shield.
Mt Evelyn’s first innings put 137 runs on the board from Saturday with Luke Jones 31, C. Morrow 28 and Kane Jones 26.
Gary Frankovic (7/26) needed to dismiss Wandin for a reasonable first innings score, which they did with Wandin were all out for 222.
J. Rowe scored 80, Scott Hasan 29, Wayne Ross 28, Kane Jones took 4/79, Ian Llewellyn 2/18.
Mt Evelyn then needed to create a reasonable score in its second innings and build a lead to allow its bowlers enough time to try to dismiss Wandin again.
Mt Evelyn in its second innings at stumps on day two were 4/149. Kane Jones scored 50 n.o., W. Ross has 3/49.
It is now certainly game on for next weekend at Coldstream starting at 12.30pm.
