NO JOY from Warburton rainfall recorder Keith Thomas, who says Warburton experienced another disastrous month for rainfall in February with only 2.25mm. being recorded.
“Our total for the first two months is 15.25mm, far behind our average of 148.2mm,” Mr Thomas said.
He added that Melbourne’s storage dams continued to fall alarmingly and now hold only 548,362 m.ltr which is 30.9 per cent of capacity.
In Healesville Alma Mitchell had much the same story to report. Four days of precipitation adding up to a meagre 2.6mm, far below the February 2008 total of 55.8mm recorded over 14 days.
