LOCAL independent school, Billanook College established its scholarship program in support of its commitment to equal opportunity, social justice and the pursuit of academic excellence.
The college, located in Mooroolbark, is a school which celebrates difference within an environment that actively guides and mentors each student to achieve their personal best – academically, physically and spiritually.
The pursuit of excellence is a core value of the college and underpins both the academic and co-curricular programs from Prep to VCE.
The scholarship program provides a framework for the application of the college’s social justice and equity policies. It provides students, who could not otherwise attend the college, the opportunity to pursue their academic dreams.
Students applying for Year 7, 2010 scholarships will sit for the examination on Saturday, 21 March and scholarships will be awarded on academic merit.
Applications are currently being taken for these scholarships.
The closing date for applications is Friday, 13 March at 5pm.
