THE TOOLANGI Sculpture Trail is about to get underway, with 15 artists from the Yarra Ranges and around the country working for two weeks to create art in the bush.
The festival will see the artists working from 6 to 20 November to create works in the Toolangi State Forest, near the Toolangi Forest Discovery Centre.
The event is being held to co-incide with the 20th anniversary of the International Sculpture Event, which was held in the same spot in 1996.
From Sunday 6 November, the sculpture trail will officially be opened in an invitation-only event at the Forest Discovery Centre, with artists commencing their work at 9am on the Monday morning.
Primary schools and youth groups will be involved in educational activities and workshops, with tours held daily from 9 to 19 November.
The tours are free and open to the public, but bookings are encouraged for weekend sessions.
