Rooftop siege ends after three hours

A HEALESVILLE man was safely brought down off the roof of a house after a three-hour siege on Tuesday 18 September.
Police were called at 5pm to reports of a man who was on top of a roof on Maroondah Highway, Healesville.
Paramedics, firefighters, negotiators and police communicated with the agitated man.
Healesville police Leading Senior Constable Tim Stewart said at 8pm the man got down safely by himself.
The man was taken to Maroondah Hospital for assessment.
Police are investigating the incident.
