MUSICIANS from the Little Yarra Steiner School will be back at the Wild Thyme Cafe in Warburton on Sunday 7 December.
The school’s Mother’s Day gig in May was a great success, raising money for the band program and providing three hours of quality entertainment in the popular main street venue.
Teachers, students and parents will present another three hour program of jazz, folk, world music, rock and hip-hop as well as an exciting new segment which will see young string players exploring improvisation.
The performance, from 3pm to 6pm, offers lively family entertainment in the relaxed atmosphere of Wild Thyme.
For anyone who can’t make it on Sunday, the Steiner influence will be at Wild Thyme on the Friday evening before when Steiner double bass and keyboards player Michael Arvanitakis teams up with singer/songwriter Jed Rowe for an evening of world music, funk and rock.
