BADGER Creek Primary School students Braidyn Stewart and Caitlyn Swindle were presented with scholarships from Healesville RSL last Friday.
Both students received a $250 scholarship to cover next year’s school needs and hopefully encourage their diligent academic progress.
Healesville Primary Principal Mark Brisbane said both students always tried at school and reflected the four school values of responsibility, integrity, care and support and respect.
“They are bright students and they are always trying hard in their classroom. They’re good kids,” Mr Brisbane said. Grade 3 student Caitlyn and Grade 4 student Braidyn consider sport their favourite subject at school, with Caitlyn an avid netballer and Braidyn enjoying both football and cricket.
Both were presented with a framed certificate by Healesville RSL senior vice-president Arthur Ford at a full school assembly.
Healesville RSL will be working with staff from local schools this year and in the future with students from all year levels eligible for the scholarship.
Students from Toolangi Primary School and Healesville High School will also be chosen for scholarships this year.
