DIY has reaped benefits for students taking part in the Hands On Learning program at Upper Yarra Secondary College this year.
Ten students in Years 7 to 10 have worked one day a week renovating an old house on the school property, learning how to service motor bikes and cars, and fixing old push bikes to donate back to the community.
Working with two local artisans the students transformed the house and gained valuable skills into the bargain.
