HEALESVILLE played host to Gembrook in what became a hard fought but low scoring game. And the wind made it a battle of defence. Both sides attacked all day, but scoring was very hard too come by. Healesville hung on the win by a mere point.

HEALESVILLE bounced back from their loss against Olinda with a convincing win against Gembrook-Cockatoo. Simon Thomas and Ben Black celebrated their 100 games by contributing to a strong team effort. Everyone played their part with great games again from Trent Krikas and Nick Pearce. Nigel Wilkes continued his terrific play up forward as a key marking target. Kyle Milgate was good leading and at ground level to give another forward option.

Yarra Junction Junior
Football Club

THE young Eagles were keen to get out and play with all arriving early to warm up and practice their drills. The coach emphasised that to win the game the team would have to show discipline and team work. With a strong wind blowing it was hard to drive long and straight through the corridor.

Best: L. Wilcox, D. Bradley, L. Henderson, C. Liszka, M. Grindley.

AFTER a solid start to the game Yarra Junction found themselves level at quarter time. They fell back into old habits of being second to the ball and not manning up.
